"Znanost mirnega življenja is not just a book about finding quick refuge, but an invitation to sit down with the author and reflect on what we can learn from facing storms and how we can see beyond them. (from the accompanying text by Prof. Dr. Borut Škodlar, specialist in psychiatry)

"Even though this is not a work of fiction, it does not mean that those who devoured the first book because of its appealing style and intriguing content will be disappointed, as it reads just as smoothly as the first and is spiced up with just the right amount of personal anecdotes. Zupančič, in his role as an advisor, does not take a patronizing or condescending stance, but acts as a reassuring friend and ally who has truly delved into the subject matter he writes about."

"Anyone who would label this book as 'just another self-help book' would be seriously mistaken. It is so much more than that. It is a book that makes you laugh, moves you, inspires you to take up new hobbies and activities, and at the same time educates you with the help of a wide variety of research. It is a book that calms you down and is well worth reading."

"One of those books that I think everyone should read. David explains in a simple, easy, and entertaining way how to achieve (greater) inner peace in life. It is a professionally written book, but it is light and written in such a way that everyone can understand it."

"Everyone should read this book. There is something in it for everyone that could improve their daily life. While reading, I laughed and cried, but I also learned quite a bit—you know a book is good when you mark your favorite parts so that when you're feeling down, you can quickly revisit techniques for calming yourself, mindfulness, or simply a good passage. More of these, please."
